CHRIS: If you do not match the requirements of a particular position, you can click the big red Submit Resume button on the Home Page so we have you in the system to be considered for future opportunities. Also, check back frequently to see if we have something that your experience does match.

CHRIS:   Next time you’re in New York City, stay at the famous Waldorf Astoria hotel, which, when completed on October 1, 1931, was the first hotel in the world to have electricity on every floor, private bathrooms in every suite, and 24-hour room service.  After checking in, try to find Track 61, an abandoned secret train station beneath the hotel, used to sneak presidents in and out.  Then, head south for 5 miles to Fraunces Tavern for a bite, a drink, and to see, obviously, George Washington’s last remaining tooth.  Don’t forget to post it on the ‘gram and tag us @logisticsjobsusa!

CHRIS:  Have you ever heard of a scuppernong?  If you’re not from the south, you might not have. A scuppernong is a type of grape, and is North Carolina’s official fruit.  You can eat these raw, and they’re also used to make wine. North Carolina does this well, as it is the 10th largest wine producer in the US.  According to www.wine-searcher.com, quote:  Scuppernong wines have the distinctive, wild, musky flavor common to all Muscadine varieties, and can be made either dry or as sweet dessert styles.  Synonyms include: Bullet, Big White Grape, Bull, Green Muscadine, Pedee, Hickman's Grape.  Food pairings for Scuppernong wines include: Grilled mussels, Salt and pepper squid, and Sweet and sour pork.

NANCY:  Everyone knows Stonehenge in England.  But how many know about FOAMHENGE??? On April Fools Day in 2004, artist Mark Cline unveiled his replica of the famous prehistoric monument in Natural Bridge, VA, near Roanoke.  Per the all-knowing Wikipedia:  Quote: The 'stones' are composed completely of styrofoam and painted gray, weighing approximately 420 lbs. apiece. They are stabilized with embedded 2.5-inch-diameter (6.4 cm) piping, extending from a concrete footing to the top of each stone. The entire structure was assembled in about ten days, as opposed to Stonehenge's construction period of about 1000 years. END QUOTE  In 2017, the exhibit was moved to Centreville, Virginia, 25 miles west of Washington, DC (very far from Roanoke).   Again, as with Washington’s famous tooth, if you go, please please let us know as we would love to see this!

CHRIS:  Point Roberts, Washington, just 35 or so kilometers south of Vancouver, British Columbia, is part of the US, but to get there you need to drive through Canada. It is considered an exclave, as it is surrounded by water on three sides, and Canada on the fourth.  Its population of 1300 jumps to 4500 during summer, thanks to vacationing Canadians.  American and Canadian ways of life and business are intertwined, and there’s a lot of border crossing by both citizens depending on the services needed.  For example, in British Columbia, it is illegal to cook a burger medium-rare, so Canadians will go to Point Roberts to satisfy this urge.
